Experience in developing public engagement activities (presentations, weekly reports, ad-hoc reporting) in the humanitarian sector where I worked for 3 years as a conflict and context analyst at organisations responding to the Syrian crisis from Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey. Led and participated in meetings informing International Non-Governmental Organisations, Donors, Policy Makers, UN agencies, and Governments about the effects of conflict and security on humanitarian programming and access. Also have experience in writing widely disseminated content updating the humanitarian sector’s stakeholders on risks, mitigation measures, and recommendations with regards to programming in conflict ridden zones within Syria. Examples of previous experience of developing public engagement events/activities: Presenter of updates on the Syrian conflict to donors, governments, and organisations such as but not limited to (then)DFID, USAID, OFDA, ECHO, Finnish Immigration Service, British Embassy, US Embassy, Embassies of Belgium, Norway, Australia, Canada, as well as UNHCR; Author of the Southern Syria section of Mercy Corps’ Humanitarian Access Team weekly report disseminated to all organisations responding to the Syrian crisis in the region and beyond; Author of donor requested ad-hoc reports reflecting impact of changes in conflict dynamics on ability to continue humanitarian programming or to access programming areas; Author of area profiles and stakeholder profiles.
